As part of our vocational training for adults, DOA has established 3 stitching centers within the teaching units, aimed at girls and women from underprivileged backgrounds.
These stitching centers are equipped with manual sewing machines, along with state of the art machinery and other training equipment to aid the training.
These stitching classes are conducted by trained professional instructors, who ensure proper development of the trainees in order to make them capable of carrying out sewing on a professional level and earn a livelihood out of it. Regular practical tests and exams are also conducted to ensure the standard is up to the mark.
The sewing courses run for a length of 2 years in total, with the students being awarded diploma certificates at the end of a successful training period.
